From "Bothering You" To Barely There: Doctor-Led Removal Of Skin Lesions And Blemishes In Southsea
Our skin is incredibly complex, as every square inch contains a plethora of blood vessels, sweat glands and nerve endings. This complexity means that there are many different types of benign cosmetic lesions that can form on the skin, such as skin tags, blood spots and milia, which may ultimately have an impact on our self-confidence.
Cosmetic treatment technology is now incredibly advanced, and I'm extremely proud to say that The Pemberley Clinic offers innovative, medical-led diathermy treatments which can remove a range of different lesions and blemishes safely.
Why "Small" Lesions Still Matter
While many skin lesions are viewed as being minor, these blemishes can significantly affect our self-confidence and may even cause some discomfort at times. We want our clients to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin, which is why we offer a skin lesion removal service that's safe and tailored to each person.
Which Lesions Can Be Treated At The Pemberley Clinic
Our advanced diathermy treatments can be used to remove or reduce the appearance of more than 20 different types of skin lesions, including skin tags, warts, vascular blemishes, seborrheic keratoses, and some benign moles.
A medical assessment and consultation is required before treatment can be administered to confirm suitability and ensure that lesion removal is the right option for you.
How Advanced Diathermy Works
Advanced diathermy works by cauterising or dissolving the attachment or blemish. It's an effective, fast and proven way to remove unwanted lesions or blemishes on the body or face. Treatments typically take between 30 and 60 minutes, and come with minimal downtime.
Consultation, Diagnosis And When To See Your GP
Before going ahead with any treatments, we'll invite you for a 1-to-1 consultation and assessment, during which we'll take your medical history and examine the lesions you would like to be removed. As part of this process, we may refer you to your GP or a dermatologist rather than going ahead with an in-clinic treatment, as your health remains our top priority.
We may request a letter of consent from your GP before administering any treatment, especially for the removal of benign moles.
Aesthetic Benefits And Aftercare
Lesion removal can restore your confidence and the correct aftercare will help you to achieve the best possible outcomes. We recommend avoiding using products with active ingredients on the treatment area for 7 days before and after your treatment, as the area can be inflamed and/or sensitive for a few days.
It's also important to avoid touching the treatment area and not to pick at any scabs, as this is a key part of the healing process.
